Susan Young is a wife, a mother of three and a passionate philanthropist. After a successful career in retail as a merchandise buyer, Susan wanted to utilize her talents for a greater good. Susan became aware of Open Arms and traveled to South Africa to visit the orphanage with her daughter, Kelly, to see how she could create a positive change in the children’s lives. After exploring the South African culture and falling in love with the kids, Susan found a way to use her retail experience to benefit Open Arms, creating Nobomi to sell merchandise crafted by South African women, with all profits devoted to support for the orphanage. Susan and her family frequently visit South Africa to discover new products, experience the South African culture and most importantly, enjoy time with the Children of Open Arms.
